To all Local 9408 members
COVID19 is affecting everything around us. With school closures, public gatherings, work and home life. I believe that our membership should have access to every option on the table. We all have the right to make a logical decision that may affect us and our families. Local 9408 has been on constant calls, emails and meetings with District 9 and the company leadership in effort to keep members at the minimum risk of exposure in every department. We are doing everything we can to ensure our members have access to the necessary sanitation products. We all need to work together and follow simple ways we can protect ourselves from COVID19.
PROTECTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS
Regardless of where you work, there are some basic social-distancing actions you should take to protect yourself and others:
• Avoid physical contact, including handshakes or hugs.
• Wash your hands frequently.
• Whenever possible, stay 6 feet away from others.
• Make it a habit to disinfect your workspace every few hours.
• Do not gather in conference rooms or confined spaces. Conduct meetings virtually whenever possible.
• If you do need to meet in person, limit your gatherings to no more than 5 people.
Please know that you have the full support of CWA Local 9408 during this unprecedented time. We can’t predict when things will return to normal, and we know you’ll have questions along the way. So feel free to reach out as needed to get those questions answered.
We will continue to take all the necessary steps to support you and your families. We’re in this together.
